Editorial policy
Rural Weekend Stories aims to be accurate, independent and plain about what each story can and cannot tell a reader. We distinguish general suggestions from details that depend on a particular place, provider or visit.
Accuracy and scope
We check factual statements against suitable material before publication and avoid presenting personal preference as a universal rule. When a story concerns a specific stay, venue or activity, readers should confirm current arrangements with the provider; details can change. We do not invent experience, endorsements, credentials or results, and we do not offer professional, legal, financial or safety-critical advice.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. If a story or placement is paid for, provided in exchange for value or otherwise materially connected to a partner, that relationship will be clearly identified where it appears. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections and illustrations
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making the change clear where its significance calls for it. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; we identify them as such when they could be mistaken for documentary photographs or accurate depictions of a real place.
A weekend away should fit the people taking it.
A scenic view is not a plan, and a full itinerary is not a better weekend. We look at the choices that make time away feel like your own.
